Grant R. Jeffrey
Beloved, since Hal Lindsey these type of sensationalists and many others like them regularly embarrass responsible Christian interpreters and provide scoffers with ammunition, it is our earnest desire to expose them and counter their folly with credible works that shall assist the earnest Bible student in a proper Biblical understanding concerning eschatology.
First, notice what the Dispensationalist, Grant Jeffrey, has falsely predicted in AD 2000. The year 2000 is a probable termination date for the 'last Days.' Quoted from page 193 of Jeffrey's book Armageddon Appointment With Destiny. He claims that Christ's kingdom begins on October 9, 2000, according page 191 of same reference.
To counter this radical system that is less than two hundred years old and is an aberration of even the Pre-Millennialism faith, here are some very helpful books:
Dispensationalism Rightly Dividing the People of God -
Mathison $10.00
Rapture Fever - North - $10,00
The Beast of Revelation - Gentry - $10,00
The Last Days Madness - Demar - $15.00
The Legacy of Hatred Continues - Demar & Leithar - $3.00
The Rapture Plot - MacPherson - $12.00
These and many other sources are available here at Eternal Grace Baptist Church.
Here, at the Eternal Grace Baptist Church, we believe Christ's victory is both real and can be experienced in time upon earth as well as for all eternity. Dispensationalism, however, is the most fierce opponent of our Biblical position. See earlier bulletins for a list of the other views of eschatology. The most comprehensive system that flows from Christ's victory assuring us to be more than conquerors through Christ Jesus our LORD is PostMillennialism.
flowing from Christ Jesus our LORD who was victorious
There are basically four primary systems of thought as it relates to eschatology These four system are known as Pre - Millennial, A- Millennial, Post-Millennial, and Dispensational. [Note: Dispensationalism is an aberration - a radical form - of Pre-Millennialism and is less than two hundred years old (169).]
Definition of terms: Millennium comes from two Latin words, mille, meaning thousand, and annum, meaning year. The prefixes (Post-, A-, and Pre- ) preceding the word millennium indicate the view being held. "Post" means after. "A" suggests an negation; it serves like the prefix "non" or "un." For instance, compliant means yielding. When the prefix "non" is attached to our example, it becomes non-compliant, or unyielding. Another example, American. If the prefix "un" is placed before the word, it becomes un-American. So "A" negates or nullifies the term millennium. "Pre" means before. Take the word "view" and put this prefix "pre" before it and then term becomes preview.
The system of Premillennialism holds that the 2nd Coming of Christ will occur before the millennium and be followed by a period of world wide peace. Historic Premillennialism or Classic Premillennialism differs and defers from modern day Dispensationalism which holds to Christ's 2nd Coming be before the millennium as well. The main difference between these two positions is that of the timing of Christ coming in regards to the "Tribulation." Both schools of thought view it (the Tribulation) from a futuristic perspective.
`[Note the consistent Biblical position, as it relates to the "Tribulation," is that it occurred during the first century, even though throughout the Church age there have been and hereafter shall be times of tribulation.] Although Amillennialism concurs on this point, that system sees no future. Whereas, the Biblical position labeled as Post-Millennial, takes into consideration the fulfilled promises of Christ and realizes that there are future promises yet to be fulfilled.
Biblical eschatology - PostMillennialism - is a comprehensive system of victory flowing from Christ Jesus our LORD who was victorious over sin, death, the grave, and hell itself. All those who are in Christ by virtue of the new birth (born again, saved, redeemed by Christ's blood etc.) are said by the authority of Scripture to be more than conquerors (Rom 8:37). Victory in time is manifested as believers are faithful to the LORD and obey HIS great commission. As the gospel is faithfully proclaimed, we experience victory in our era as well as in eternity.

Of the 77 public servants (Senators) who voted AGAINST the Bob Smith's filibuster and in favor of sending the anti-gun crime bill to a House-Senate conference committee, four men from Indiana and Illinois committed treason, along with the evil duo, against the American people within these two states. Their picture appears above from left to right: Evan Bayh, Richard Lugar, Richard Durbin, and Peter Fitzgerald. A stern letter of reprimand to these disobedient servants would be in order. Gun owners will stand the best chance at defeating this legislation in the House. TOLL FREE TO HOUSE -1-800-972-3524
