It is only right for you to be fully informed of the effects of your unscriptural, and intellectual shallowness exhibited by your persistent refusal to reply to a very valid question. That question being, "Do you understand the distinction between a local, independent, unregistered Baptist Church and a state-financed Baptist religious corporation; Be it a state's side local Baptist corporation or an oversees Baptist corporation?"
In light of you seeking out our support, your initial letter and intentions were shared with the people of God, along with my first letter of inquiry sent to you via E-mail. When your response was expressed to the people of God in which you lamely said, "I decline to answer your questions.", these are a sampling of our men's response which demonstrate a unanimous conclusion regarding people such as you: One of our men exclaimed, "It sounds like he's (referring to you Kevin Kratz) looking for gravy train." This dear brother is a very generous contributor to the cause of Christ, be it missions or otherwise.
Another man responded by writing me, "I am still somewhat troubled by the so called "missionary's" e-mail to you. If he cannot be honest with God's people, how can we trust him to teach truth. I despise those who pick and choose which scriptures to use for personal gain or in effort to prove something which is clearly false. Yes, we are all accountable before GOD, but if we are just going to use that verse to attempt to prove our biased, perverted interpretation of scripture, then we might as well burn the rest of the Bible. That guy offends me. He is an abomination before the Lord and makes me sick. He does not deserve our support if he cannot support his beliefs with the word of God."
Still yet another man emphatically stated: "He is a coward!"
The passage of Scripture that was cited by one man regarding your inane reaction was (1 Peter 3:15 KJV) "But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:" "Answer" is translated from the Greek term "apologia," from which we get our word "apologetics," meaning the careful, logical defense of the Christian faith. Peter is clearly admonishing believers to be always prepared to give an answer - apologetic for the faith.
Accountability, it is true, is unto Almighty God. However, within that accountability unto the LORD, there is an accounting unto the saints of God. Certainly you are aware of that, are you not Kevin? For your consideration, notice Acts 8:5-14. Philip, the evangelist, obviously gave an accounting to the brethren in Jerusalem of his preaching ministry in Samaria.
Not only was an evangelist/missionary - Philip - accountable unto the believers of the First Baptist Church of Jerusalem, one of their Pastor's - Peter, the apostle, - gave an accounting unto the Church at Jerusalem of how God had used him to Minster the gospel unto the Gentiles when he won Cornelius unto the LORD Jesus. (See: Acts chapters 10 & 11)
Further on in Acts 15, we read of how the apostle Paul reports to the brethren in the Jerusalem Church about God's blessing upon his ministry. (See Acts 15:12) What's more, Paul gave an accounting unto his sending Church, the Antioch Baptist Church. (Acts 15:30-35) Even the eloquent preacher, Apollos, showed that he was accountable unto other believers. (Acts 18:1-4 & 24-28)
Therefore, for you to lamely say, "I decline to answer your questions." as you have done speaks volumes about yourself. The reason for perusing this is because of the severity of the issue. Christ loved the Church, not the religious corporations, and gave HIMSELF for it. (See: Ephesians 5:25)
It is my hope that by bring this information to your attention, it will be used by our LORD to give you a realization of the distinction between worship and idolatry. Even the Apostle John warned his audience concerning this awful sin: "Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen." (1 John 5:21 KJV)
It is my earnest prayer that God will give you repentance to the acknowledging of the truth. Please check out the new "What Folly" button on our Church webpage your lack of response has generated, to which this, too, will be posted. Again, be assured of our prayers for you and your family.
May God be glorified in each of our lives!
Sincerely,
Pastor Brown
"I am only one, but I am one. I cannot do everything, but I can do something. And because I cannot do everything, I will not refuse to do the something that I can do. What I can do, I should do. And what I should do, by the grace of God, I will do." - Edward Everett Hale
